Dear Marko,
Thank you for your letter. I was glad to know something interesting about your hobby. Playing hockey and watching films are also very popular hobbies among men in our country. But I have two different hobbies that many boys and men like.
Football.
One of my favourite hobbies is football. It helps me to keep fit and be athletic. Many men in our country like to play football, visit football matches or watch them on TV as it is the most common kind of sport in our country. I enjoy playing football with my friends after school. We have our yard team called “Fighting” (we even have our own beautiful uniform). Once we participated in a junior amateur championship and got the second prize of our city! We were very proud of it as we got silver medals and a cup. As I am an amateur of football, I have a favourite team called “Metallurg” and try to visit all its matches in our city. My favourite player is Pavel Lukin. He is a skillful goalkeeper and never drops a ball. My dream is to be a famous goalkeeper just like him.
Fishing.
My other hobby is fishing. It is a very peaceful and relaxing hobby. I like fishing because I can spend more time with my father and he can teach me how to catch a big fish. When my father goes fishing, he always takes me with him and I enjoy it greatly. Sometimes our mother comes with us too. I like to get up early, take fishing tools to a river and sit on a bank of a river and wait for a fish. I can enjoy the nature and look at its beauty. My biggest trophy is a 7 kilo pile. I also collect magazines about fishing and my favourite one is “Rybachte s nami”. I can learn many useful things from it: different fishing technics,successful stories of famous fishers, information about kinds of fish and so on. Once I saw a wonderful spinning there and I hope to get it for my next birthday.
