My Summer Activities
Summer in town
They used to belive summer is the time of rest and fun. But first I had to pass school summer practice so my summer holidays started only when I was free not to go to school.
My daily routines changed greatly. No need to wake up early, more free time for fun with friends. To my mind it is much better to communicate with people alive than using tecnical devices such as a computer and a phone.
Rest at the Black Sea
In a week my father had to go on a buisness trip to Odessa so it was diceded to combine business with pleasure. We travelled by plane as my father is not very patient to loose several days in a train.
I will always remember Odessa as a neat and graceful Europinian city. The center is an embodiment of style and taste. I was never tired to walk through all those beautiful streets: astonishing Deribasovskaya Street, fabulous Primorsky Boulevard, City Garden. Once we dropped into a legendary Odessa’s cozy patio.
We visited the Odessa Port in order to have unfogivable sea excursion. Than climbed Potemkin Steps and got aqwainted with Duke de Richelieu monument. By the way Odessa is the city of numerous monuments, cathedrals and churches, museums, parks and other sights such as Catacombs of Odessa. Have you ever seen Odessa Opera House at least at the pictture? I must say the picture cannot show all it’s splendor. I was impressed by thousands of unique and picturesque cafes and was estonished by the imagination of their creators.
I only mentioned the city but we aslo spent a lot of time at the beach. To my great pleasure my parents brought me to Odessa delphinarium. It was our last evening in this fabulous city.
Countryside
The rest of the summer I spent with my grandparents in the countryside. They have their own house with a garden. There is a small river and a forest nearby. After the rain I adore to breeze in this fresh forest air. My friends and I gathered mushrooms racing who had more or who had found the largest mushroom.
I like to sit on the bank of the river in silence early in the morning listening to the birds’ songs and watching the sunrise while fishing with my grandfather.
I am always sad to return back home in a noisy city. But nevertheless I am glad to see my parents, friends and schoolmates.
